- DISTRIBUTES CHEQUES WORTH RS 1.77 CRORE FOR DEVELOPMENT WORKS IN VARIOUS VILLAGES OF GILL CONSTITUENCY TODAY
Ludhiana, (Sanjay Minka)-Gill MLA Mr Kuldeep Singh Vaid today said that there is no shortage of funds when it comes to carry out overall development of all villages falling under the Gill constituency of the district. Mr Vaid today distributed cheques worth Rs 1.77 crore to 15 panchayats of the constituency. Today, the cheques were distributed to village Alamgir (Rs 1114458), Bulara (Rs 1123454), Duley (Rs 812135), Gill (Rs 2020554), Rania (Rs 674473), Sangowal (Rs 841738), Sarinh (Rs 1190230), Kaind (Rs 405616), Dhandra (Rs 1382400), Thakkarwal (Rs 891995), Dashmesh Nagar (Rs 1769102), Himmat Singh Nagar (Rs 1546667), Janta Colony (Rs 811684), Jasdev Singh Nagar (Rs 2140880) and Manakwal (Rs 978172).Mr Vaid also distributed ration to the needy on the occasion. While speaking on the occasion, Mr Kuldeep Singh Vaid said that the Capt Amarinder Singh led Punjab government is committed for carrying overall development of all rural areas of the state. He said that development works worth several crores have already been started in Gill constituency, while many more are in pipeline. He said that the work on the Dhandra cluster is going on in full swing and under this project, 21 panchayats, villages and colonies have been included and these areas will get city-like facilities by spending Rs 100 crore. He said that the residents of the areas falling under the Dhandra cluster will get proper sewerage, roads, solar lights and other basic facilities. Besides, other development projects that were left incomplete due to shortage of funds, will also be completed under the mission. Prominent among those present on the occasion included Mr Gourav Babba, Mr Mika Gill Sarpanch, Mr Gurdeep Singh Bulara, Mr Money Gill, Mr Updesh Pehalwan, Mr Pardeep Kaind, Mr Kiranpal Singh Secretary, besides several others.
